The solar greenhouse oasis in desert

Comes to the desert, there are two eternal truths. First: We can not fundamentally eliminate the desert. Second: the expanding deserts. Therefore, if food production in desert areas, fresh water and energy, as well as help the fight against desertification, it is a good way to best of both worlds.
Norway, which is non-profit organization "Bellow Na Foundation" under the project "The Sahara Forest Project (Sahara Forest Project)" efforts to target. The project will build in the desert regions of the world of renewable energy, "Oasis" - Sahara in Arabic that the "big desert" means.
Each construction site facilities include: large-scale greenhouse, greenhouse use of hot desert air over the water pumped from the evaporation of the coast, manufacture cool, moist indoor environment and water resources for irrigation. Covering a million hectares of greenhouses, 100 million metric tons per day or more evaporation of seawater.
The project will extract it as a large salt water pool, the nutritional content of training for secondary use, in the training pool, and carbon dioxide through photosynthesis, algae produce biological substances. Solar thermal power generation poly (CSP) plant is located in the center of the construction site: a large mirror to gather up the sun, through the vapor generating turbines.
